Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 (2017)

Plot Summary:
The Guardians, a now-famous group of heroes, are seen in the beginning of the film tasked with defending some priceless batteries from a monster. Although there is considerable conflict within the gang, they are successful in their task. Following the mission, Ayesha, the ruler of the golden-skinned species known as the Sovereign, hires them to defend their priceless batteries from an extraterrestrial monster.
They run across Ego, a heavenly creature who claims to be Peter Quill's father, while on the expedition. Ego tells Quill that he made the planet where he and he are and asks Quill to travel with him to discover who he really is. When the other Guardians learn that Ego's actual motivations are anything but noble, their decision to travel together takes a bad turn.

Yondu, a former Guardian who was banished due to his risky and unpredictable conduct, had a change of heart and chooses to assist Rocket and the other Guardians in stopping Ego's scheme.
